A-Fib is caused by multiple irregular electrical waves created by a heart pacemaker under stress.

In A-Fib, atria, the heart’s upper chambers, contract in an coordinated, irregular, and rapid way, sending uncoordinated erratic signals to the ventricles (the lower chambers) that pump blood into the rest of the body.

A-Fib is caused by dysfunctional oxygen signaling in the cells of the heart’s pacemaker.

Dysfunctional oxygen signaling (dysox) which sets the stage for A-Fib is usually associated with rapid heart rate, bouts of palpitations, and excess adrenaline.

Both cardiac myocytic (muscle) disease and coronary artery disease increase the risk of A-Fib. The root cause of both is is also dysfunctional oxygen signaling.

A-Fib carries a higher risk of stroke.
